I was very fortunate to have been offered a collection of these wonderful Tambor lace curtains and textiles. This is one from the collection. To view the others from this collection simply search my store for the words " Cornely lace "
This textile is from France and dates form the late 1800s to early 1900s ~ C1900 a beautiful whitework hand embroidered cornelli lace work Chateau window length Curtain. Entirely hand stitched onto a fine Indian muslin ground and hand embroidered in cotton with trailing floral motifs worked in chain stitch. I love the many patterns these reveal~ This textile is elegant and rare ~ These curtains were highly popular in France in the 19th and early 20th century. Because they are so light , they do not often survive without signs of time and use ~ These curtains were most often used as bed hangings ~

MEASUREMENTS : This lovely lace curtain panel measures approximately70 inches long by 22 inches wide

CONDITION ~ Ive hand washed this lovely textile and its ready to use! Its in fabulous condition! I see nothing to report! I may have missed something small, but its in beautiful condition! ~
