The Cougars Unlimited LLC C5SZ-13A366-CR Electronic Flasher Can is a functional replacement for the 3-Pin thermal indicator relay found under the dash of the 1967 TBird. Failure of this relay caused the dash light to pulsate dimly or not flash during normal turn signal operation. Included in this purchase.

Cougars Unlimited LLC strongly recommends using WCCC1157RPR (Red for rear) LED bulbs and WCCC1157YPR (Yellow for front) LED bulbs. They have a built in current limiting diode. This stops the reverse current flow that causes sequential turn signal systems to malfunction.

PLEASE READ:

To make sure you are purchasing the correct part look in the trunk of your Thunderbird, locate the rubber pad, and count how many parts are mounted on the rubber pad.

If there are two parts on the rubber pad then your Thunderbird does not have a stop lamp relay, it is a LATE Model made after 1/16/1967 and you are purchasing the correct unit. (C7SZ-13A366-BS)

If there are three parts on the rubberpad then your Thunderbird has a stop lamp relay. This means you have an early model made before 1/16/1967 and you are purchasing the incorrect part. Do not purchase this part. You will need to purchase a (T4 EARLY Model) C7SZ-13A366-AS.

*This sequencer system unit is fully compatible with LED or Incandescentbulbs. But because LED bulbs do not draw enough current to activate the thermalindicator relay under the dash, your indicator lights on your dash will stopworking. *NOTE: TURN SIGNAL SWITCH – All turn signal switches sold by Cougars vendu Unlimited LLC are for use with LED bulbs only. The reason for this is applicable vehicles are now over 50 years old the current that sequencing systems draw have greatly increased over time. This is because of the original wiring harnesses and connectors are deteriorating increasing the resistance. Higher the resistance the higher the current draw across the switch. The current is now so high on most vehicles that it exceeds the ratting of the switches, causing them to prematurely fail. The only solution is to convert to LED bulbs, they draw far less current. On vehicles that have converted to LED the turn signal switches are not failing. The only other solution is to replace the complete wiring harness which is expensive, and in most cases not possible.
